NPF Goes Up Against The Obligation Of ‘Good Governance Day’ On December 25

30 November 2016: During the Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting held, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) is ready to set requesting to the central government not to force “Good Governance Day” on Christmas Day i.e., (25th December) “as the day is most revered by the Christian community.”

The House generally ready to support the Nagaland Legislative Assembly decision during the winter session which was held on November 22nd to 24th, canceling the restriction on Women Reservation Act being moved on September 22, 2012, by NLA.good-governance

The Central Executive Council also set on to proceed to enlarge its support to the continuing peace process between the NSCN (IM), the Government of India and repeated the stand that “Integration is and must be an integral part of the dialogue.” The house has completely certified the appeal which was made by the Chief Minister TR Zeliang towards leadership of NSCN (K) in Myanmar currently to renew the truce and enter the peace progress conversation to follow peaceful and honorable settlement with both the Government of India and the Government of Myanmar.

The party also felt it relevant to urge the state government to take a severe step in protecting flora and fauna of the country.
